Jake Blake Man
Jake Blakeman is a Texas-born, Brooklyn-trained actor, artist, and ADHDer with many talents and hyperfocuses.
He received a Best Actor nomination for his role as Melchior in "Springs Awakening" at Outcry Theater. He has also garnered two Best Actor awards for his performance in the short film "In the Spiral of a Vice", recognized at several film festivals. Jake has appeared in various short films and continues to work on both stage and screen.
In addition to his performance work, Jake has a dedicated woodworking shop where he crafts and builds custom pieces. He also designs and constructs sets, combining his love for woodworking with his theatrical expertise. Jake is a musician and an analog film enthusiast, handling all aspects of shooting and developing his own film. Teaching improv to children is another of Jake’s passions, allowing him to share his creativity with the next generation.
Jake earned his MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, has served on the board of directors for Mainstage Irving Las Colinas, and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. Jake is based in both New York and Texas and is represented by The Krasny Office.
